Clackamas Jr. Volleyball is recreational volleyball non-profit group teaching youth correct volleyball form and technique from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Our season begins every Spring right after Spring Break and finishes the weekend before Memorial Day. All the skills and drills we teach are the same skills we teach our kids at Clackamas High School. We believe that by teaching the same skills from a young age our players get the correct movements into muscle memory which allows for a higher level of success to be achieved. Our program was established in 2000. Since then, our high school program has been one of the top programs in the state. The last 7 years we've placed in the top 5 in state, most recently taking home the 2nd place trophy! Almost every girl from the Varsity roster has played in our youth program!
At Clackamas Jr. Volleyball, our mission is to help all players have access to the game of volleyball and to fall in love with the game while learning proper and consistent technique to maximize player success.
Interested in Coaching?
No prior coaching experience is necessary as we provide great hands-on, mandatory coaches training for all coaches to ensure each child in our program is learning the same techniques. We also provide a high school volleyball player at each practice who can be your expert to help out. All we need from you is a positive and encouraging attitude with a willingness to learn. All coaches must register as volunteer through the registration link on this website and pass a background check.
You know your child best. We want to set them up for success, so select the division you feel best suits their skill level.
Our cross-over grade levels are for 4th and 7th grade. If you have a newer player to the game, or a player that lacks confidence on the court, register your child to play with kids a year younger. For example, a 4th grader that's a newer player should register for the 3rd/4th grade division versus the 4th/5th grade division. If you have a player that has played for several years and is aggressive on the court, have them play with kids who are a year older. For example, a 4th grader that has played for several years and is aggressive on the court should be registered in the 4th/5th division versus the 3rd/4th division. Also please keep in mind that this is a recreational volleyball program. So if you feel a different division would best suit your child's needs, please e-mail us and we will work something out.
Participants need to provide their own shorts and knee pads. Each player will receive a shirt from the league. Volleyballs will be provided for practices and games, but if you would like your own ball, Aries Apparel at the mall sells the brands we use.

*after February 15th add $15 for late registration
**If you decide to drop out for any reason before March 1st you will get a refund less $15. If you drop out after March 1st but before the season starts your refund will be less $25. After the season has started there are no refunds.
2017 Season Dates:
Practices Begin: Week of April 3rd
Season Ends: May 20th
Practice Times & Locations:
We know life is crazy, and fitting sports into family schedules can be a challenge, especially when you don't know ahead of time when practices will be. That's why we let you select the team that fits best into your schedule. Need to sign up with a friend for carpool reasons? No problem, you select the team that works for both of you. Click here to see a list of teams for each division. You'll find coaches info, practice time & location, and how many spots are left on each team. Then when you go to register you'll know which team to sign up for!
New this year, we are hoping to work with local schools to add some "after-school" practices. In order to do this, we will need 8-10 players from your school & division as well as a coach. We will also need to work with the district & your principal to get approval to use the gym at the earlier time. If you don't see this as an option for your school but you're interested in getting something started please e-mail me at email@example.com and we'll try to get something going!
If you don't see a practice day/time/location that works for your family, please e-mail us to let us know and we'll try to work to get something scheduled that works for you. We do need 8 players to fill a team.
We will offer 2-3 optional clinics before the season starts for players to brush off their skills, as well as feel more comfortable going into the season. They'll get a chance to learn the "keys" for passing and serving and learn a few games. Coaches will be current high school or club coaches as well as rec coaches. More information will come in February, but these are normally the first 2-3 weekends in March.
